2024 Begins with a New Album!

At exactly midnight on New Year’s Eve as 2024 struck, the mighty Kill Pop Tarts label unleashed the surprise new album by Dead Air Fresheners: Forbidden Secrets of the Elusive Hangar. Coming out exactly one year after our last group release Tales from the Elusive Hangar, it would be easy to see this album as a sequel, which is not entirely untrue. It even shares having an original cover painting by St. John’s Portland artist Christopher Michael McMurray. Yet Forbidden Secrets is SO MUCH MORE as evidenced from the first single “The Courtship of Jerry’s Raven”. The 26+ minute opus features guest star Portland Oregon improvisational legend Jerry Soga (Waffle Taco, Fiasco!, Xapchyk, Folknoize and Sogatombs!) and was recorded in the yard outside the Elusive Hangar in October of 2022. While the first single, it closes out the album which also rereleases the great compilation pieces “5 Minutes in Dog Years” and “Dungeness Under the Hangar”.

Don’t worry, the album featuring Jennifer Robin is still coming out later this year too! Meanwhile check out Forbidden Secrets! Why did we not disclose to you that this album was coming? Because it is Forbidden Secrets! Buy one and we promise not to tell anybody.
